This was a room based on Contagion or Patient Zero.  Today, it would have been much more scary than in pre-pandemic days!

Cold War was about a lot of Russian stuff - again, currently would be quite current!  We got 20% off by booking a second room. 

I think after this, Rose asked if I had been in the Cold War.  Indeed, for part of my life, I was right in the middle of it in Austria, though life was normal.

We spent a lot of time at the "entry" to the mansion.  There was some kind of cage with the key in it that we struggled greatly with.  Our GM gave us a lot of help.

Breakout Games is great with all games private.

Saw (Room B) - GM Hanna - Success

This was a competitive pair of rooms - there were just the 2 of us in Room B and we were playing against a team of 6, but it seemed like Hanna took pity on us and gave us secret clues (slid under the door).  Clues for one team were shared with the other team normally.

Mystery Train - GM Michaela - Fail

We were supposed to identify the murder suspect, but we got it wrong and failed the room.  We got extra help and it wasn't enough for us to succeed.

We were trapped in a motel room with a serial killer on his way to do us in.  We thought we were trapping him, and instead, he was trapping us.

There was a sign on the counter that they were looking for part-time game masters.  Rose asked, was interviewed, got hired on the spot, and we were told to return to complete her training by doing all the other rooms in the place.
