Day 9 - Hamburg --> Copenhagen --> Malmö 2019

Day 9: Hamburg -> Copenhagen -> Malmö  - Nov 28, 2019

The Trip from Hamburg to Copenhagen

The trip by rail from Hamburg includes a ferry crossing.  3 or 4 cars of the train go into the bowels of the ferry and passengers are told to get out.  The luggage stays behind and the train is locked up.

We went up top and had some lunch.  I don't have any pictures of it.  We had about 45 minutes on the boat and when we were docked, we were allowed downstairs again and on the train.

Since Germany and Denmark are both part of the EU, there was no immigration/passport check, but there was a drug-sniffing (we think) dog.

Limo, Escape Rooms then Malmö

The journey from Hamburg to Copenhagen is about a 6-hour trip and when we got to Copenhagen station, we had a driver meet us.  As I mentioned before, I tried canceling all the limos because I had gotten very frustrated after our experiences, but could not cancel the Copenhagen one without having to pay for it, so kept it.

Our driver did take us around, including the Little Mermaid below.  Rose was feeling very poorly so our driver took us to an emergency room.  Rose was seen immediately and the doctor, who spoke excellent English, basically said it seemed she had something viral and to take meds to relieve the pain and take it easy.  3 months later, I later got a bill for $52 - it would have been free had we been citizens.

Our driver dropped us off at the Midgaard Event Escape Rooms.  The two rooms were Da Vinci and Sherlock - Sherlock was a double room and it was tedious.

After the rooms, we took a taxi to the train station and took a train across the Øresund Strait to Malmö in Sweden and then stayed at the Malmö Radisson Blu Hotel.  We were very impressed with the room and the service.
