Train Trip, Tim Horton's, McDonald's, and Escape Rooms
Tim Horton’s is a Canadian donut shop chain created by hockey player Tim Horton (duh!). So funny to find it here in Glasgow.
We took the train from Edinburgh to Glasgow. Because I canceled the limo, we took our sweet time leaving Edinburgh and I was able to get a few pics of Edinburgh Castle. I didn’t get anything for Glasgow because we got off the train and walked to the hotel which was right next door. We stayed at the 3rd Radisson Blu Hotel which was unfortunately the last – we were so pleased with this chain.
It was cold in Glasgow – like around 28 F or -3 C. Colder than Edinburgh by about 6 or 7 degrees. It was supposed to warm up the next day and then rain.
Rose needed all the sleep she could get, so she laid down and slept so long, I had to cancel our first room at 5 PM. I got her up at 5:30 and we first went to McDonald’s because they have vegan/vegetarian options here.
A sight normally not seen in the States is the large lines for ordering food and all the folks waiting for food.
After eating, we zoomed to the Escape Reality venue and did all 3 rooms scheduled because the game masters were so nice to us. This was one place where I felt the Game Masters made the Escape Room great - to rooms were ok and to get clues, there were numbers on the objects. This clued (pun intended) us in of the importance of the items to look at so we technically gamed the second room which we finished in 35 minutes.
