Travel days always suck, because it's a loss of a day. I guess I could go early in the morning, but I'm a spoiled brat and figured catching a noon flight would be more civilized. In this case, it was lucky I did, because it was foggy and flights weren't allowed to take off from European capitals to come to London, so my flight didn't arrive until late and we were 2 hours late taking off. On the other hand, had I taken a flight originating from London, it might have left. Who knows?
In any case, I didn't arrive in Vienna until 5 PM or so and my BFF Peter was waiting for me. No, he didn't wait for an additional 2 hours, because I let him know, but it still messed up his day some.
After I arrived, we went to dinner with Hanni, his wife, and then Peter and I did the reminiscing old-man thing - don't tell Peter he's old though. He's a year older than me and you guys know how old I am. So imagine, there's 2 of me, but the other one is funnier (Peter).
We stayed up really late and finished off a bottle of Bailey's and half a bottle of Bacardi (that's my tipple).
I spent the day with my best friend Peter who was sitting across from me at his house giving me the evil eye and supplying snarky comments while I was trying to write this.
Today we went to 2 escape rooms at Breakout Escape. We went to the same venue as last year in May. Before we got there, in case we had the same game master, I wanted to remember his name. I had a photo with his name from my site, but when we got there he remembered us straight away. His name was Michel, but he looked different because he had shaved off his beard. He had a charming assistant, Nino. We got an extra minute for the first room, the Secret of the Train Station Master, got an 4 extra minutes for The Museum Heist, and spent many pleasant minutes chatting with both of them. They were so awesome and many kind thanks to them.
Afterwards we went to play pinball and Peter beat my ass on Foo Fighters. We managed to play for about an hour on 2 paid credits because we kept getting replays.
Since we had done all the rooms at Breakout Escape, we were researching Escape rooms at the Pinball place. We talked to a couple of very sweet Game Masters, Jana and Sophie, who gave us the rundown so that I could plan our next Escape adventures.
Afterwards, we went to Die Hutte and met Nicole and King Andy who is so named, because I am Princess Andy. Had a drink then back home for a home-cooked meal by Hanni.
